In short

AutoLogon does not collect personal data, does not require an account, contains no advertising, has no network features and does not send usage or performance statistics (no telemetry). netDesk.IT receives no data from people who use the app.

Data saved on your PC

The app keeps only on your computer, in the folder %AppData%\netDesk.IT\AutoLogon, what it needs to be convenient to use:

• the language and theme you chose (lingua.txt and tema.txt);
• the log of unexpected errors (errori.log: date and time, point in the program and technical message of the error; it does not exceed 200 KB) and a line with the Store licence status (active, trial, expiry). It never contains passwords.

Windows settings the app changes

To do its job, and only when you press “Enable” or “Disable”, AutoLogon writes to Windows (not to the app folder):

• the automatic sign-in values in the Windows registry (sign-in on or off, user name and domain);
• the account password, encrypted by Windows in the LSA secret: the app does not save it anywhere else and never writes it in clear text;
• a scheduled task (“AutoLogon - Blocco automatico”) with the account and the session lock delay.

This data is not transmitted to anyone, not even to netDesk.IT. The app folder is deleted by removing it or uninstalling the app. The Windows settings are removed by pressing “Disable” (it turns off automatic sign-in, deletes the encrypted password and removes the lock task): uninstalling the app does not remove them, so press “Disable” before uninstalling.

Support information

The “Copy support information” button in the “About” window copies to the clipboard, only when you press it, the app and Windows versions, the language, whether the app is running as administrator, the type of installation, the licence status, the automatic sign-in status with the account name (user and domain), the lock delay and the last lines of the error log. It never contains the password and is not sent anywhere: you decide whether to paste it into a support message.

Network connections

AutoLogon has no network features: it does not connect to the Internet, does not contact servers of netDesk.IT or of third parties and does not send passwords or any other data. The only check that involves the network, the licence verification, is performed by Windows with the Microsoft Store.

Microsoft Store

If you install the app from the Microsoft Store, download, installation, updates, free trial and purchase are handled by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement; the app only reads the licence status from Windows.

Since netDesk.IT does not receive personal data through the app, there is nothing for us to provide, correct or delete. For any question write to info@netdesk.it.

If the way the app works changes significantly for privacy, this page will be updated and the date above changed.
